Poverty (HIV in Uganda)
[edit]As a result, young women tend to have older and more sexually experienced partners and this puts women at a disproportionate risk of getting affected by HIV, accounting for about 57 per cent of all adults living with HIV in Uganda.[124] → The figure in this sentence is gravely wrong. From the original reference, it is 5.7 per cent, not 57 per cent.

Museveni and the Authoritarian Regime
[edit]Uganda is becoming less and less of a one-party state and is in fact an authoritarian dictatorship, which Museveni keeps up with rigged elections and false prophecies for the “Bright future of Uganda”, most of the money intended to be used for these purposes had instead flowed into his own pockets, gaslighting the population into thinking changes have been made. I’ve been living outside of Uganda for about 23 years, and have every year seen the decline of democracy in the country. I hope the message reaches the wiki editors, and face the situation that is going on in my home country, where most of my family reside. Ugatp (talk) 21:16, 13 May 2024 (UTC)

"Precolonial" Uganda
[edit]I have a question, why do we take colonial period of Uganda as a reference point? It might be more of an ethics problem, but to me it seems like no country's or region's history should start with referencing a point which is considered the most prominent only according to a eurocentric view of other continents and regions. Why not change it to "Early history of Uganda"? AndriyAndriy (talk) 10:00, 24 June 2024 (UTC)
Population of capital city
[edit]The lead says 8.5 million live in the capital and largest city, Kampala. This is in conflict with the Kampala's own article, where the in the lead says the Kampala metro area has a population "estimated at 6,709,900", The infobox has that number for the metro area , in addition to the city's population. The numbers should be consistent across wiki.
