Henry Maduabuchi Ohabuike

Henry Maduabuchi Ohabuike is a Nigerian-born Health and Safety Specialist known for his contributions to occupational health and safety in Qatar and for his leadership within the Nigerian diaspora. He is one of the founding members of the Isuikwuato Community in Qatar, which later evolved into the Isuikwuato Umunneochi Community in Qatar, where he currently serves as Chairman.

Early Life and Education

Henry Maduabuchi Ohabuike hails from Isuikwuato Local Government Area in Abia State, Nigeria. He completed his education in Nigeria before embarking on a professional journey abroad.

Career

Ohabuike migrated to Qatar and established himself as a leading figure in the field of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE). With over 20 years of experience, he has played a key role in the development and implementation of safety standards across sectors such as construction, petrochemicals, infrastructure, and environmental safety. He is widely respected for mentoring and grooming many professionals in HSE programs.

Community Leadership

A committed community leader, Ohabuike was one of the founders of the Isuikwuato Community in Qatar, an initiative that laid the foundation for what is now known as the Isuikwuato Umunneochi Community in Qatar. As Chairman, he continues to foster unity, cultural heritage, and mutual support among members of the Nigerian diaspora.

He is also credited with initiating and organizing the first Iri Ji (New Yam) Festival in Qatar, a landmark cultural celebration that brought together the Igbo community and other Nigerians to honor and preserve their traditional heritage abroad.

Personal Life

Henry is married to Chioma Julian Juliet Ohabuike (née Dim), and together they have three children:

  • Adaugo Sochikanyima Zemira Maduabuchi
  • Obieze Chiemerie Noah Maduabuchi
  • Akwaugo Chikamso Olivia Maduabuchi

He is a proud family man and a passionate advocate for safety, leadership, and community empowerment.
